Digital Asset Management
Smarter Asset Management. Faster Brand Execution.
FILA streamlined digital asset operations with a custom AEM Assets solution—boosting speed, accuracy, and scalability for global content delivery.
The Challenge
Manual workflows slowed down asset handling and reduced marketing agility. FILA needed to modernize its DAM system to support faster uploads, automated metadata, and global consistency.
The Scenario
The Solution
Custom DAM Optimization Built on AEM Cloud
Comwrap Reply implemented a tailored DAM platform based on Adobe Experience Manager Assets as a Cloud Service, integrated with SAP and optimized for FILA’s real-world workflows. To go beyond standard AEM functionality, we designed a fully custom React-based front-end—embedded directly into the AEM authoring interface via SPA (Single Page Application). This custom UI offers a dramatically simplified, user-friendly asset import and metadata interface tailored to the needs of editors and marketers.
We also developed a robust batch import module that automates asset ingestion and metadata mapping via REST APIs from SAP and internal systems. By combining Adobe-native capabilities with custom AEM workflows, we eliminated manual Excel uploads, standardized data accuracy, and enabled continuous process optimization in close collaboration with FILA’s IT and Marketing teams.
How we did it
The implementation started with a 2-month discovery and build phase, targeting the most time-consuming asset ingestion challenges. Using Adobe AEM Assets as a Cloud Service ensured future-proof scalability, cloud-native stability, and seamless integration into FILA’s broader Adobe ecosystem. The custom React interface was designed specifically for ease-of-use—providing editors with a visual, intuitive, and error-resistant way to upload large batches of assets, while pulling metadata automatically from SAP.
We created a new import module using custom AEM workflows and REST APIs, which now drive automated metadata assignment and image versioning. All of this was implemented on a live production environment with zero downtime, ensuring continuity of marketing and ecommerce operations. Ongoing improvements and feature releases are being delivered through an agile collaboration between Comwrap Reply and FILA teams.
The Results
FILA now runs a centralized, stable, and editor-friendly DAM platform—dramatically improving the efficiency of asset management. Uploads are faster, manual effort is lower, and metadata accuracy is significantly improved. The custom React-based interface gives marketing teams more control and independence, while backend automation ensures consistency and compliance across systems.
This project laid the foundation for global expansion, with planned rollouts in the U.S. and beyond—ensuring that every region works from a single source of truth, optimized for brand consistency and creative speed.
