Content Management

Cloud-First. Compliance-Ready. Globally Scalable.

A leading global reinsurance company modernized its digital foundation with AEM Cloud—accelerating content operations, accessibility, and product discoverability across markets.

The Challenge

Unify a fragmented digital landscape, enable faster and more compliant content delivery, and provide internal users with intuitive access to solutions—at scale.

The Scenario

Operating in a highly regulated and knowledge-intensive industry, this global reinsurer faced a growing digital challenge: product documents, assets, and microsites were distributed across multiple systems, duplicated inconsistently, and often difficult to navigate. Content updates were slow and manual, localisation cycles inefficient, and microsite UX varied across regions. Accessibility gaps persisted—particularly around WCAG compliance. The company’s strategic vision required a future-proof, cloud-native platform capable of supporting global personalization, compliance, and operational speed—without compromising security or availability.

The Solution

From Fragmented to Unified—AEM Cloud as the New Core

Comwrap Reply delivered a full-scale transformation of the client’s digital experience platform—migrating from an on-premise Adobe Experience Manager instance to Adobe Experience Manager as a Cloud Service. This shift enabled modular scalability, performance stability, and ongoing feature evolution without the need for costly upgrades. We implemented essential enterprise features including SAML-based federated authentication, User & Group Sync for secure and scalable user management, and Asset Share Commons to centralize and streamline asset access across globally distributed teams.

A critical pillar of the program was the relaunch of over a dozen globally distributed microsites onto a single design system powered by a reusable component library. This drastically reduced design inconsistencies, improved localization workflows, and positioned the organization to scale rapidly in new regions without duplicating effort or infrastructure.

To address compliance with WCAG 2.2 standards, we developed and deployed a fully integrated Text-to-Speech (TTS) component using Microsoft’s Azure Text-to-Speech API. This gave content teams a scalable, zero-maintenance method for embedding accessibility features across editorial and informational pages—without manual audio production or added workflows.

The flagship initiative, called Solution Finder, was designed as a high-performance internal product and document discovery tool. Built with a custom React front end and secured through OAuth2, Solution Finder connects directly to AEM to retrieve metadata-enriched documents with advanced filtering and taxonomy-aware search logic. Dynamic criteria management allows teams to configure filters and results in real time—helping business users quickly locate and act on relevant materials, from product specs to legal frameworks.

To accelerate authoring and tagging workflows, we implemented Co-Pilot for AEM and integrated it with Azure OpenAI (GPT) to auto-generate page metadata, suggest SEO tags, and support multilingual translation assistance. This dramatically increased editorial efficiency and eliminated bottlenecks in high-volume publishing scenarios.

The program also included hands-on enablement workshops for key initiatives—such as Solution Finder and the internal “Re-Connect” communications channel—to align business stakeholders, accelerate adoption, and ensure governance models were understood and embedded across teams.

How we did it

The migration to Adobe Experience Manager as a Cloud Service began with a phased strategy that minimized risk while accelerating delivery. We used Polaris migration utilities to structure and transfer legacy content with minimal rework. SAML integration enabled secure access management across global teams, while User & Group Sync ensured scalable role-based governance. We established a centralized design system for microsite components, streamlining the relaunch of distributed country sites with a consistent user experience and modular layout control.

For accessibility, we developed a Text-to-Speech (TTS) component using Azure’s TTS API—embedded directly into AEM templates. This allowed page-level narration with semantic structure, ensuring WCAG 2.2 compliance without overloading authors with manual audio production tasks.

The “Solution Finder” was developed as a high-performance React front end, integrated with AEM via secure OAuth2 authentication. It features advanced filters, taxonomy-aware search, and dynamic criteria logic—all powered by centralized document metadata. We connected Adobe RTCDP to in-house data platforms to allow real-time data enrichment and personalization. Co-Pilot for AEM, integrated with Azure GPT, now automates page metadata, SEO tags, and translation assistance—boosting efficiency across content production. A series of enablement workshops supported stakeholder adoption, ensuring local teams could leverage new tools without friction.

The Results

The shift to a unified AEM Cloud platform resulted in measurable business value across digital operations. Manual content production and localization efforts were reduced by over 60%, thanks to AI-powered metadata and modular authoring workflows. Content authors now deliver faster updates with fewer handoffs, freeing up resources for strategic campaigns and experience optimization.

Microsites relaunching on the new platform experienced a significant boost in consistency, performance, and accessibility compliance—making it easier for end users to navigate, consume, and trust digital content across regions. Internal time-to-information improved dramatically: the Solution Finder reduced the average time spent searching for key product documents by over 70%, supporting knowledge workers across sales, underwriting, and legal teams.

The accessibility layer has expanded digital inclusion for all users, and the use of TTS ensures compliance across all digital surfaces. Thanks to a carefully orchestrated migration plan, the full transition to cloud was completed with zero unplanned downtime—even with hundreds of global stakeholders and tightly regulated data policies in place. Today, the platform stands as a secure, scalable foundation for further innovation in marketing, operations, and customer engagement.
