To meet Zonar’s goals, we delivered a high-performance, low-maintenance e-commerce platform using Adobe Commerce Cloud—leveraging its out-of-the-box capabilities to ensure long-term sustainability, speed of delivery, and operational efficiency.
Instead of customizing every feature, we focused on maximizing core functionality and integrating where it mattered most. The new platform is built for automation-first commerce, capable of scaling with Zonar’s North American business without adding complexity.
At the heart of the solution lies a deep ERP integration, achieved through Adobe Commerce’s native API framework. Product information, stock levels, and order statuses now update in real time—eliminating the need for manual synchronization and significantly reducing errors. The result: faster time-to-market for new products and immediate stock visibility for customers and operations alike.
Customer authentication and access control were overhauled using Auth0 Single Sign-On, enabling secure, role-based login experiences. This also laid the groundwork for dynamic storefront behavior, such as differentiated pricing or tax rules for specific business users (e.g. resellers or tax-exempt entities).
To address the complexity of U.S. tax law across state and municipal jurisdictions, we integrated Avalara, providing real-time tax calculation and compliance. Combined with UPS API integration for live shipping quotes and tracking, and ChargeLogic for secure payment processing, the platform delivers a frictionless experience from product discovery to post-purchase.
Everything is orchestrated in the cloud, with Adobe Commerce providing performance elasticity, PCI-compliant security, and built-in monitoring.

How we did it
Our approach was lean, focused, and automation-first. Rather than over-customizing the platform, we leveraged the full potential of Adobe Commerce Cloud’s native capabilities—balancing out-of-the-box features with precise integrations where they matter most.
We began by deploying a clean, scalable Commerce Cloud instance, aligned with Adobe best practices to minimize technical debt and simplify future maintenance. From the outset, we designed the solution around API-first architecture—prioritizing extensibility, performance, and operational stability.
Using Adobe’s Core APIs, we built deep integrations with Zonar’s ERP system, enabling real-time synchronization of product data, inventory, pricing, order exports, and shipping status updates. This automated backbone ensures every system stays in sync, without human involvement or batch jobs—critical for a business operating across U.S. and Mexico.
For authentication and customer group handling, we integrated Auth0 SSO, allowing seamless logins, enhanced security, and dynamic role-based behavior. This was especially important for tax-exempt entities and specialized B2B users, which required differentiated storefront logic.
To tackle complex U.S. tax scenarios, we embedded Avalara into the checkout flow, providing precise, location-based tax calculations that scale with business growth. Combined with UPS API integration for real-time shipping quotes and tracking, and ChargeLogic for secure and flexible payments, we built a full-stack solution with no manual friction.
We also introduced clear governance for content management, ensuring that non-technical stakeholders could update site content, run promotions, and maintain catalog items without relying on developers.
Finally, all services were deployed using a CI/CD pipeline, backed by Adobe’s managed cloud infrastructure, ensuring automated deployments, uptime, and scalability.
The result? A resilient, future-ready commerce foundation that supports Zonar’s business without slowing it down.
The Results
The platform now runs with minimal manual intervention. Products and orders sync automatically with ERP. Tax compliance is handled dynamically.
The content team enjoys a stable CMS. Customers experience faster checkouts and cleaner UX. Internally, operations became leaner—freeing up staff to focus on growth, not maintenance.
